The Truimph Of Democracy

The streets of the nation today has only one roar.. unanimously there is only one slogan coming out from the bottom of their heart and stretched to the top of their voice ‘har har modi!!!’. everyone is celebrating, the joy, the happiness is just the outcome of their victory..yes it is the people’s victory, the underlined definition of democracy… And the world’s largest democracy,my nation,India has successfully been able to keep the trust in democratic values alive.
As I sit down in front of my television screen on the result day and see the bjp poll count going up in a lightning speed and they getting an unquestionable majority which no party in the history of democracies all over the world ever could have achieved.. that particular moment everything around seemed energetic- the stock market, the dollar, and most importantly the people of the nation all showed positive trend and mindset. That time a simple thought occupied my mind why suddenly this extent of celebration.. the previous LS election was surely not as hyped as this one, alright the parties are different there is a modi wave this time, but then what has made this modi wave so dominant.. that the bjp gets elected with a complete majority.
A set of points poped up on my mind trying to justify me the rise of modi.. which led me to a conclusion that it is not modi who won, it is the people of India who’s struggle has won.. it is their  united voice which came together again and again in the past couple of years, it is the victory of an unnoticed REVOLUTION… a revolution we all were an unseperable part of, a revolution against- corruption, inflation, bad governance and shattered hopes! taking the thought deeper i tried to understand where and how did this great indian revolution began..
‘i remembered the rally i took part in Mumbai.. it was at this time that the buzz of lokpal bill was spread like a virus, corruption issues were brought in front of people again and again .. inflation had touched its peak.. dollar was rising above Everest.. and the morale of people was constantly sinking.. at this time the anger and revolution in the minds of people was given spark by the IAC(India against corruption) team or the team Anna.. the country responded in a huge number.. people from all cities left their house and came down the road to raise their voice and to take a firm stand against the decade long corruption.’ – this according to me was the first big push to the decade long strong congress… later on a sequence of incidents in the country occurred where the people of the nation left no stone unturned and followed their national duty religiously by constantly opposing the government and challenging the policymakers, the Delhi rape case of 16th December being one such example. the direct blow to this government was when the party assembly polls in Delhi and guided the newly formed AAP and its head Mr. Arvind kejrival to the chair of chief minister..
and somewhat similar thing happened today.. people showered their trust, hope, believe and banked their dream on the shoulders of this dignified personality, Narendra Modi.
today as once again the people of nation unanimously stand for the development of country and elect Shri Narendra Modi as the PM of India all I hope is their dreams are fulfilled, and the dream of the India of tomorrow we all build in our minds and thoughts come true this time.
As I say this, I in no way doubt the credibility of modi to run the nation and develop  it in the best possible manner in the coming years. All I wish to convey is the morale of people is yet high, the nation is educated and will raise its voice again and again as the time demand, the country may not have reached the the superpower stature but it has surely achieved freedom and understood the essence of democracy as desired by the great poet rabindranath tagore :
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.
